EasyMESUR UI Design
Sept. 2019 - Nov. 2020
My Role
UI designer and developer for an integrated software control panel for
Series F force measurement test stands. As part of the software
development team, I was responsible for designing and coding interface
layouts, controls, icons, and animations. I collaborated with the project
lead and two software engineers by participating in project planning,
presenting wireframes and design ideas, contributing to project repositories,
and participating in code reviews.
Technology Used
An F305 test frame is shown configured for a vertical peel test with the EasyMESUR control panel. The control panel was designed around the Raspberry Pi platform.
A basic color scheme was defined including a grayscale and colors for alerts.
A diagram showing the icon specifications that were utilized to enforce consistency throughout the icon library.
The finished library included over 200 icons.
The home view is a basic navigation page with large, easy to read options. The status bar at the bottom is persistent across every view.
The graph view displays a live graph for the current test, live load and distance values, and pass/fail/exception status.
The manual control view allows the user to directly control the position of the crosshead.
Custom inputs were developed with an error state to indicate when user input is outside of the hardware limits.
